Park of the Week

Solomon Park

By Jayme Gallegos October 4, 2017

First I apologize for the sideways picture!!

This past weekend I decided to try a new park out. I realized once we arrived that it has been YEARS since I had been to this park. I think my girls were about 3 & 2 the last time we went.

So we pull up and I LOVED the fact that it had a large grass area and tons of Redwood trees around it.There was a nice path around the grass area, you could have your kids bring their bike or scooters. The park itself was pretty sunny, it was 11am when we got there so I be it is nice a shaded in the afternoon. Now the moment we got there my 7 year old was complaining of this is a "baby" park, however there were monkey bars so I don't consider a "baby" park to have monkey bars! I would bet that if she had a few friends with her she would have had a blast! There is a smaller field next to the playground that would be perfect for playing tag, the tall Redwood trees make perfect spots to play hide and go seek! There were only 2 baby swings, which was kind of a bummer. I be if there were big kid swings they would have had more fun as well.  Over all my 22 month old and 5 year old enjoyed themselves at Solomon Park. Not sure if I would take them again without meeting up with some friends, just so my oldest can't complain!

Tune in next week to find out what park will be our Park of the Week!!
